MESOTHERAPY – Is This Fat-Melting Anti Aging Skin Care Treatment Too Good To Be True?

Mesotherapy (Mezo Therapy) is a minimally invasive non-surgical treatment used to help eliminate cellulite from thighs, abdomen, hips, love handles, and buttocks while promoting inch loss as well as weight loss.  Mesotherapy involves injecting microscopic amounts of natural plant extracts, homeopathic medication, and vitamins into the mesoderm (middle layer of skin) breaking down existing fat cells to reshape and sculpt problematic areas.  The unwanted fat is then flushed out through the system.

What is Needle-less Mesotherapy?

Needle-less Mesotherapy is a newer modern alternative technique which delivers the solution into the fat cells by using an ultrasonic device.  It is completely pain free, but is considered to be less effective compared to traditional Mesotherapy.

ANTI AGING SECRET  – Mesotherapy also works as an anti aging skin care treatment for face!  Mesotherapy skin rejuvenation helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, stimulates collagen and elastin production, eliminates dark circles and puffiness under the eyes, and improves overall skin tone and texture.

As I mentioned in my Vela Shape Article below– Another option which is a LOT less expensive is Body Wraps!  These detoxing wraps help in the reduction of cellulite while promoting inch loss.  The New Hollywood Detox Body Wrap is very reasonably priced at $39.99 for one, $54.99 for two, or $69.99 for three wraps.  This wrap gets great reviews and may be worth looking into especially if you’re squeamish of needles!

How does Skin Needling work?

Skin Needling…

  • Reduces and Smoothes Fine Lines and Wrinkles
  • Repairs Sun Damaged Skin and Skin Discolorations
  • Thickens and Repairs Thin Crepey Skin
  • Increases the Effectiveness and Penetration of Skin Care Products
  • Visibly Reduces Scarring (Surgical, Chicken Pox, and Acne)
  • Tightens Sagging Skin Resulting in Firmer, More Lifted Skin as well as Elevation of the Eye Brows
  • Reduces Pore Size
  • Inhibits Hyperpigmentation
  • Improves Skin Texture including Uneven Pitted Skin
  • Improves the Appearance of Stretch Marks
  • Improves the Appearance of Cellulite
  • Reduces/Restores Hair Loss, Hair Thinning, Graying, and Alopecia (For Both Men and Women)

Skin Needling is performed using a Skin Roller.  The Skin roller gently inserts a cluster of very fine needles into the epidermis and top layer of the dermis causing multiple microscopic puncture wounds.  This immediately signals the body’s own natural healing response to stimulate new collagen and elastin production.  The results mimic those obtained with a laser, but without destroying the epidermis.  The healing period is very rapid!  The micro-punctures start healing within minutes and are closed within one hour after treatment, but the production of collagen continues up to 12 months after the procedure.

What Needle length should I use?

Dermatologists, Clinics, and Spa’s use a variety of needle lengths ranging from 0.25 mm to 3.0 mm.  The cost of Skin Needling performed in a clinic generally run from $200 – $350 per session.

For At-Home use – It’s recommended to use needle lengths ranging from 0.25mm – 2mm.

Below are examples of which needle length is appropriate for the condition you wish to treat:

  • 0.25mm – Increased penetration of product, overall skin color and texture, thinning hair
  • 0.5mm  – Increased penetration of product, fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, alopecia
  • 1.0mm – 1.5 mm – Deeper wrinkles, surgical/acne/chicken pox scars, hyperpigmentation, elasticity decline, stretch marks, cellulite
  • 2.0mm – 3.0mm – Severely damaged skin, deep scars and wrinkles

NOTE: Any needle lengths over 2mm should ONLY be administered by a skin care professional!

How much do Home-Use Skin Rollers cost?

NOTE:  Not all Skin Rollers are the same and carry the FDA approval.   It’s very important when  purchasing a Skin Roller to NOT skimp and buy a “knock-off” brand!  While the price may be tempting, the quality is not!   A cheap imitation roller could actually tear the skin and result in scarring and skin damage!  A good Skin Roller will generally run upwards of $100 +, but is worth every cent!

With all the cheap imitation Rollers on the market, I was really happy to have discovered the Leaf and Rusher Tx Roller  (as seen in the picture)!  The Tx Roller was developed by Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon Dr. Norman Leaf and his partner Rand Rusher, and is rated one of the best!  Previously known as the Dermaroller – The Tx Roller has recently been revamped with new advanced features for improved skin beauty and health.

My Experience with the Leaf and Rusher Tx Roller

I’ve been using the Tx Roller for about 2 months now, and the results are absolutely amazing!!!  My skin tone is beautiful, my pores are considerably smaller, and my wrinkles are vanishing!  I use the Tx Roller with Leaf and Rushers Active Serum which contains a special non-irritating Retinol formula and powerful antioxidants like Vitamin-C.  This is their Signature product and one of my favorites!  But you can use the roller with any anti aging skin care products that stimulates collagen and elastin production.  BothRetinol and Copper Peptide Serums and Creams work well to slough off and generate new tissue!

NOTE:  When using Retinol products – Use only at night time as Retinol may increase sun sensitivity.

How do you use the Skin Roller?

The Skin Roller should be used at bedtime and is very easy to use!  You can apply your serum or cream either before or after the treatment.  Roll the Tx Roller gently across the various areas of the face (avoiding the immediate eye area) vertically, diagonally, and horizontally 4 or 5 times.  There is no need to press to hard as this is not necessary for success!  You will feel a prickly sensation and may experience a slight rosy glow to your skin, but this generally dissipates by the next morning.

For Best Results – Use the roller every other day or at least 2-3 times a week until your skin becomes accustomed to it.  Then after the second or third week, the roller can be used daily if you think it’s necessary.

DO NOT use a Skin Roller if skin is sunburned or already damaged by injury!

How do you clean and maintain the Skin Roller?

Clean and disinfect the Roller by first rinsing it under hot water and then putting it in a glass of water with a denture tablet, alcohol, or hydrogen peroxide and allow it to air dry on a clean towel.  Also, be careful not to dull the needles by treating the Roller gently and avoid placing the roller on a hard surface.  Also, be very careful not to drop it!  With the proper treatment, a Skin Roller should last from 6-12 months.

NOTE:  Skin Rollers are intended for individual use only!  NEVER EVER share your Skin Roller!!!

People who are Poor Candidates for Skin Needling Treatments:  Anyone on high blood pressure or heart medication, is diabetic, or has active herpetic breakouts.

SKIN NEEDLING – The Best Kept Secret For Anti Aging Skin Care Rejuvenation

Skin Needling also known as Micro-Needling and Needle Dermabrasion is the newest, easiest, and most effective at-home anti aging skin care rejuvenation treatment available today!  Up until recently performed primarily only in clinics and spas, Skin Needling delivers equivalent results to laser resurfacing, chemical peels, and mico-dermabrasion treatments.

While some people may be scared off by the thought of Skin Needling – These new home-use FDA approved Skin Rollers aka Derma Rollers are becoming very popular!  When used as directed with gentle pressure, this revolutionary anti aging procedure is safe, effective, easy to learn, virtually pain-free, and costs a fraction of these higher priced treatments!

This non-invasive anti aging skin care treatment is a form of Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT, improving the skin’s health and beauty by stimulating and replenishing the natural reproduction of collagen and elastin in record time and without damage to the skin.  Noticeable results can actually be seen within one week.

What is Collagen?  Collagen is a fibrous protein that connects and supports bodily tissues such as skin, bones, tendons, muscles and cartilage.  Collagen is often referred to as the glue that holds the body together.  Without it, the body would fall apart.  Collagen works hand in hand with elastin in supporting the body’s tissues, giving the body tissues form and providing firmness and strength.  While elastin gives the body tissues flexability.

What Contributes to Wrinkles and the Loss of Collagen and Elastin?

  • Aging – As we age we lose our ability to stimulate and produce new collagen and elastin
  • Unhealthy Lifestyle
  • Genetics
  • Sun Damage
  • Smoking
